Warehouse Supervisor
Our client based in Ripley is well known for their exceptional work within their industry, friendly working environment and good facilities.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor or ambitious Team Leader to join a well-established business.
This position will include the following responsibilities:
JOB ROLE Warehouse Supervisor
- Inbound receiving of materials including unloading and sorting, admin controls, Quality Control and inspections (aesthetics, quantity, technical specifications when required), preparation to putaway and system register with accuracy to secure accounting and physical consistency.
- Stock accuracy with stock checks, stock count (i.e. YE full count) and working with other departments to manage at best the stock company value on hand.
- To always have an up-to-date awareness of all ‘Goods In’ and ‘Goods Out’ activity.
- Responsible for Customers order preparation into shipping, through effective pick, pack, despatch operations meeting quality standard in line with Customers and channels requirements, effective timing of execution (lead time) and efficient cost operations.
- Responsible for organizing mandatory and non-mandatory training of all warehouse staff and for the maintenance checks as well as operations across warehouse assets (i.e., racks, bays, etc.) and tools (i.e., forklifts).
- Responsible for warehouse KPIs (i.e., Picking accuracy, Stock Accuracy, Pick & Pack productivity), engaging with Kaizen and the identification of improvements; when ready to implement.
- To supervise Warehouse Operatives, in the fulfilment of orders, and to ensure that agreed time scales and service levels are adhered to.
- Understands Health & Safety procedures and takes responsibility for their work area.
KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE Warehouse Supervisor
- Experience being responsible for a team within a warehouse environment.
- Experience using WMS systems.
- Forklift trucks experience (Counterbalance, REACH, PPT).
- Excellent people / time management skills
- Ability to display a high attention to detail.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills
